Talent Build

Notes

This guide mainly covers the specific spots where you need to use your main healing abilities. As we are doing this fight as Flameshaper those include stasis, engulf, rewind, ec and df. db is covered a lot because of how you need to pair it with engulf plus because i am not playing a rev build it is also my main echo choice. Other spells like sb, rev, td and tts aren't gonna be mentioned a lot (or at all) but that doesn't mean you shouldn't press them, it means that those aren't necessarily important to have set up on strict timings and can be moved around depending on the needs of your raid or your game plan

You should coordinate with your tanks for what specific moments they need td at, and doing emergency single target healing with rev is still very good. As for sb we still use it when we can while we keep in mind that it shouldn't interfere with us having tc stacks for db or consume any echoes we have prepared for db. A very good way to go about this is to think of the spots where you could use more targeted healing on some specific targets but can't afford to sb there normally, and slot tts in there so you don't need to cast it and also keep your tc stacks.

For the way i played the fight, most of my sbs happened during the 10 second cooldown period after a db and before i could start ramping echoes for the next one, while fb was a filler when i was doing echo ramps and ran out of essence but also knew i could get tc back up by the time of the db cast.

Phase One

Probably the most complicated part of the fight, phase one has you continuously moving in a circle while dodging several aoes and properly positioning to jump over 438804s and drop 437078. For this we are playing Flameshaper, and we want to match engulfs and our stasis into a dangerous part of the phase, while also using it early so its up more times during the fight

Our ideal first stasis is then during the first 438804 and right after, as this is a high damage point early on in the fight and sending our biggest healing cooldown into it will help our team progress past it quicker. It happens approximately 35 seconds into the fight, which means you can also send and extra engulf very early on. This matches perfectly with the very first 440899 as it will hit the whole raid for a decent amount of damage and happens right after the pull. You will need to start the fight with coy already active and some stacks of tc in order to buff your db, so i recommend casting ve and ta ~10 seconds before the pull, before spreading some echoes and applying your db a couple of seconds after the boss is pulled.

You also have to think of getting yourself out of the first 439814 cast 15 seconds in, and usually our answer to this is df.

With all of this set up, our plan going into the fight looks a bit like this:

Release

Right after this, the second 439814 comes out very soon, and our choices for breaking it are either ec or deepbreath. We don't have a lot of time to set up a lb ramp for ec here but even then i believe its better to use it. As Flameshaper we don't care that much about our ec as Chronowarden does and can spend it more freely and still have good burst healing cooldowns, along side this our tank will also be affected by a huge absorb shield from 437093 while the 439814s are happening and we can at least lb with them to help clear it out, while also recovering a good chunk of mana and putting our ec on cd so we have it back up again earlier.

The second 438804 also packs a lot of damage but we don't have stasis for this one. What we are doing here is sending our first rewind along with the extra engulf we get in between stasises. We set up our coy and tc before jumping so we can db as soon as we land and then do our healing as the damage hits the raid. It will look something like this:

A bit after this, we break our third and final 439814 and we use deepbreath to get out of it.

Then comes the final part of phase one and the transition into the intermission. Our stasis should come up right around this time and so we're setting up another double engulf to cover this. Once again we prepare our coy and tc stacks right before we set up to jump over the 438804 so we can do our combo as soon as we land.

Right as we land, we store our db into stasis and use the first engulf to heal the damage from the jumps, and ~5 seconds later you send the second engulf to heal the damage from 441556. At this moment the boss will start the first 447411. We can use df to hit the whole raid here as they are set up in a straight line to get them topped off before the 447411 goes off, and follow it up by releasing our stasis to heal the damage caused by it.

Intermission

You will get a charge of engulf back around half-way into the intermission, and you can freely use it here as our next stasis won't happen until the 2nd platform of phase two. The best time to use it is right after the second 447411 as players will be a little bit stacked after the grip, other moments during the intermission aren't very viable because of how ranged and melee tend to spread apart during the phase

This is also a good moment to tts a sb, as the smart heal will help ensure the people will lowest hp survive the damage from the 447411 itself. The usual strat involves you breaking the shield before the third 447411 so you shouldn't plan for that long-term.
